CT Technologist

Job Description

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist will perform computed tomography procedures while adhering to established guidelines and assisting in the training of new technologists. They will work under the supervision of the lead/charge technologist and modality medical director. Responsibilities include:

• Performing all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual.
• Meeting the technical competency requirements for the position.
• Maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
• Participating in professional education, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance activities.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Documented training and experience in radiography; training and experience in CT preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current Massachusetts BCEH Computed Tomography (Full/General) license.
• Current Massachusetts BCEH license in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.
• Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (RT(CT)).
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.
