divh2Contents Restoration Inventory Specialist/h2pThe Contents Restoration Inventory Specialist is responsible for accurately documenting, cataloging, and managing personal and business contents affected by fire, water, mold, or other catastrophic events. This role involves the meticulous inventorying of items, detailed photography, condition reporting, and packing of contents for restoration or storage. The Inventory Specialist ensures that all contents are handled with care and professionalism, maintaining high standards of accuracy and organization.
This position works closely with Project Managers, Contents Technicians, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution and client satisfaction./ph3Primary Responsibilities/h3olliInventory Documentation and Management: ulliPerform on-site inspections to inventory all items, ensuring precise documentation of item descriptions, quantities, and conditions./liliPhotograph each item to document its pre-existing condition, labeling and tagging items according to company standards./liliUtilize inventory management software (e.g., iCat, ContentsTrack) to maintain comprehensive digital records of all items./li/ul/liliContent Handling and Packing: ulliSafely and securely pack items for transport to the companys restoration facility or storage location, ensuring fragile or valuable items are given special attention./liliCreate detailed packing lists and location tags to ensure all items are trackable throughout the restoration process./liliWork closely with the Warehouse and Restoration Technicians to ensure proper storage and care of contents./li/ul/liliData Accuracy and Reporting: ulliEnter data into the inventory system in real time, ensuring accuracy in descriptions, item counts, and conditions./liliGenerate detailed reports, including inventories, condition reports, and summary logs, as required by project scope./liliIdentify and document any items that are non-restorable or require specialized handling, communicating findings to the Project Manager./li/ul/liliQuality Control and Assurance: ulliReview inventory records regularly to ensure that all data is complete, accurate, and up-to-date./liliMonitor the handling, storage, and movement of contents to prevent loss or damage./liliConduct regular audits of stored contents to verify the integrity and condition of items./li/ul/liliClient and Stakeholder Communication: ulliAct as a point of contact for clients and insurance adjusters regarding inventory-related inquiries./liliCommunicate effectively and professionally, ensuring clients feel informed and confident in the restoration process./liliProvide updates to Project Managers and clients regarding the status of contents, estimated timelines, and any issues encountered./li/ul/liliLogistics Coordination: ulliCoordinate with logistics teams to schedule and oversee the transportation of contents between job sites, storage facilities, and restoration areas./liliTrack the movement of contents using the inventory management system, ensuring that all items are accounted for at all times./liliEnsure that all transportation activities comply with company standards and safety regulations./li/ul/liliSupport Restoration Activities: ulliAssist the restoration team as needed with content cleaning, deodorization, and preparation for final return to the client./liliProvide technical support for contents inventory software and equipment used during the inventory and restoration process./liliParticipate in on-site walkthroughs and inspections to validate the accuracy of inventories./li/ul/li/olh3Qualifications and Skills/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in related field preferred./liliMinimum of 2 years of experience in contents management, inventory control, or a related field./liliExperience in restoration or construction industry preferred./liliStrong knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., iCat, ContentsTrack)./liliExcellent organizational and time management skills./liliKeen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy./liliStrong interpersonal and communication skills./liliAbility to lift and carry heavy items as required./liliValid drivers license and clean driving record./li/ulh3Key Competencies/h3ulliAttention to Detail/liliData Entry and Inventory Management/liliOrganizational Skills/liliCustomer Service Orientation/liliProblem Solving and Initiative/li/ulh3Reporting Relationship/h3ulliReports to the Contents Restoration Project Manager./li/ulh3Work Conditions/h3ulliThis is a full-time position requiring (40+) hours per week./liliRequires travel to client sites, storage facilities, and company warehouses./liliMay involve occasional evening and weekend hours depending on project needs./liliMust be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs regularly./li/ulpCompensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour At Rainbow Restoration, were here to help families rebuild their lives when disaster strikes by turning damaged properties back into safe, comfortable homes.
