Role: Compliance/ IMS Manager
Location: Remote - travel and onsite working expected within role
Ideal candidates will be based in either the West OR East Midlands
The Compliance/ IMS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business Management systems (BMS) relating to ISO certification (45001 / 9001 / 14001).
This role ensures that the BMS system adheres to regulatory requirements, is documented, trained, and followed by all employees.
- Assess all operations to ensure compliance with company, national, and international standards and legislation where appropriate. Where deficiencies are identified, work proactively with the business to identify and develop procedures and assure these are embedded within skills matrices.
- Manage the Quality Engineer (Management Systems).
- Manage the ERIKS UK&I audit calendar.
- Complete and maintain records of audits, corrective, and preventative actions using agreed ERIKS standard documentation.
- Manage the process of 3rd party certification audits.
- First point of contact for all ERIKS complaints – drive root cause analysis and assure actions in place for recurrence prevention.
- Manage and drive improvements for all Quality related KPIs and data dashboard (audits / NCRs / complaints / Calibration).
- Understand and maintain an awareness of relevant legislative changes and their impact upon the ERIKS operations – maintaining the Legislation register and project managing improvements.
- Manage the document and data control systems including identifying, developing, and implementing new HSEQ procedures, operational standards, and establish clearly defined methods and safe systems of work in line with industry.
- Complete HSEQ Audits across the ERIKS UK&I Network supporting the ERIKS audit calendar (specific responsibility for ISO9001 audits within Engineering sites).
- Provision of training across the ERIKS network for HSEQ related topics including HSEQ inductions.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Detailed knowledge of systems and standards to support health, safety, environment, and quality management, e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Qualified lead auditor (ISO9001 / 14001 / 45001).
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety desirable.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong team player with a desire to support the delivery of common business goals.
- Self-Managing and Self-Motivated – takes responsibility for own deliverables.
- Possesses a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Able to build relationships at all levels, liaise and influence colleagues, external contacts, and stakeholders.
- Adapts to changing circumstances and can work productively in a high-pressure environment with multiple/changing priorities.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills, including written, oral, and presentational.
- Sets and maintains high standards of work, experienced in the management and delivery of health & safety excellence across multi-site locations.
