About the Role The Manager, Commercial Finance serves as a strategic finance partner to the Toptracer leadership, owning the planning, forecasting, and performance management cycle that turns financial data into insights that drive business decisions. This highly visible role has end‑to‑end ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for Toptracer globally. The Manager rebuilds planning from the bottom up, leads finance transformation across systems and data, and partners with the GM, Sales, Operations, and Accounting to deliver forecast accuracy, financial transparency, and analytical rigor leadership needs to allocate capital and prioritize investment.
Key Responsibilities Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Own the annual budget, long‑range plan, and rolling forecast – built bottom‑up, site by site, across revenue, gross margin, OPEX, headcount, and capex. Establish driver‑based planning models that connect operational assumptions to financial outcomes and surface risks and opportunities early. Management Reporting & Variance Analysis Lead the monthly close review, variance analysis, and performance commentary for the GM and Finance Director.
Translate numbers into a clear narrative of what happened, why, and what to do next. Business Partnering & Decision Support Partner with Sales, Operations, and functional leaders to pressure‑test plans, evaluate investment cases, and provide the financial guidance that shapes commercial and operating decisions. Build the business case framework for new initiatives, pricing changes, and contract economics, and track outcomes against the case post‑launch.
KPI Development & Performance Management Define and operationalize KPIs that measure business health – unit economics, customer cohorts, margin profile, working capital, and cash conversion. Deliver leadership a forward‑looking view of performance, growth drivers, and investment trade‑offs, with scenario and sensitivity analysis to stress‑test the plan. Cash, Working Capital & Financial Stewardship Forecast cash and working capital across multiple currencies and markets, and serve as the finance liaison between Sales, Account Management, and Accounts Receivable.
Monitor credit risk and DSO, address bad debt issues, and protect cash flow while maintaining strong commercial relationships. Finance Transformation – Systems, Data & Process Lead the FP&A workstream for Toptracer's Anaplan, Salesforce, and SAP roadmap – owning model design, data integration, and rollout. Re‑engineer the close‑to‑report and plan‑to‑forecast cycles to be faster, more accurate, and built on a single source of truth.
Design self‑service dashboards, automate recurring reporting, and continuously improve data flows so leaders get answers without waiting on finance. What You Bring 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and business partnering. 7+ years working in a global, multi‑currency, multi‑market environment, with demonstrated experience leading finance transformation or building planning processes from the ground up. 5+ years using enterprise planning tools such as Anaplan, including model build, deployment, and administration. 5+ years of expert‑level Excel and three‑statement / driver‑based financial modeling experience with large data sets. 3+ years supporting a technology‑enabled, SaaS, multi‑site, or global B2B/B2B2C business strongly preferred.
