Work Authorization: U.S. work authorization required Why This Role Exists Synkronos is a small but rapidly growing aerospace manufacturing and engineering company expanding to support major new programs. The company is preparing to launch a $45M project while already executing additional multi-million-dollar work. This role plays a critical part in building helicopters and next-generation flight vehicles from scratch.
You'll work directly with ownership and help create machining processes from print through finished component. This is not a production button-pushing role. You'll have ownership.
The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Take aerospace drawings from concept through finished part Program, set up, and machine complex components Develop tooling strategies and workholding approaches Create and optimize Mastercam multi-axis programs Edit programs and troubleshoot directly at the machine Interpret legacy drawings from the 1970s-1980s Collaborate closely with engineering and ownership Perform first-article and in-process verification Help shape machining processes as the company grows Machines, Controls & Software You'll work with equipment such as: Machines: Ibarmia ZVH 58 Doosan Puma 5700 Additional equipment added as growth continues Controls: Fanuc Heidenhain CAM Software: Mastercam Multi-Axis Inspection Tools: Calipers Micrometers Indicators Precision inspection equipment Materials You'll Work With Aluminum Stainless steel Aerospace alloys Prototype and flight-critical materials What We're Looking ForRequired: 7+ years CNC machining experience Programming and setup experience Ability to independently take parts from print to completed process Strong blueprint and GD&T skills Experience editing and troubleshooting programs Comfortable in prototype or high-mix environments Ability to work from older engineering drawings Strong problem-solving mindset Preferred: Aerospace experience Multi-axis machining experience Heidenhain experience Experience supporting prototype environments Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Synkronos because: Extremely small team where your work matters Direct access to ownership and decision-making Flexibility with schedules and family commitments Real opportunity to help build a company Work on helicopters and flight vehicles from the ground up Mentorship and support from an owner who still programs and machines daily Fast growth and major projects already secured Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay Range: $50-$65/hr DOE Benefits: Currently no formal benefits package, though leadership plans to add benefits as the company grows.
