Job Description
Job Overview Please note that we will only accept applications from staff currently employed by Betsi Cadwaladr. We are looking to recruit two enthusiastic, motivated people who will provide clerical duties. The post will be based at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Marine Drive, Rhyl.
The successful candidates will have a good standard of education, good communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be efficient and organised with their own workload. Candidates should also have keyboard skills. A good telephone manner and communication skills are essential.
The ability to speak Welsh would be beneficial but is not essential. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times. Main Duties Undertake clerical and some word processing duties as directed by the team.
Assist with the booking / rearranging of appointments as directed by the team. Deal with enquiries either on the telephone or face to face from health professionals, colleagues, and the public, under the guidance of the administrative team. File reports / letters or relevant information within individual case notes following relevant protocols in an accurate and timely manner.
Deal with incoming and outgoing mail and distribute accordingly. Further duties and responsibilities are outlined in the attached Job Description. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Experience Essential Criteria Previous clerical/administrative experience. Desirable Criteria Experience of working in the NHS. Skills Essential Criteria Basic keyboard skills.
Able to use electronic information systems. Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision. Desirable Criteria Previous use of Oracle or similar system.
Working knowledge of the WPAS (patient administration system). Knowledge, Personal Qualities and Other Relevant Requirements Knowledge of confidentiality. Willing to learn new skills.
