Chief Technology Officer

A rapidly growing and progressive Software Company is currently hiring for a CTO local to the DC area, who can be on site, does not require relocation, and who has led Engineering teams of 10+ folks!

Experience

• Proven experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or senior technology leader in a high-growth startup environment.
• Demonstrated success bringing complex data products from stealth mode or early development to market.
• Experience leading and scaling engineering teams of 10+ engineers.
• Background working in data-driven platforms, SaaS products, or AI/analytics systems.
• Experience scaling systems and organizations during early-stage startup growth.

Technical Background

• Strong foundational knowledge of modern software architectures and cloud-native systems.
• Familiarity with Python-based backend ecosystems and React-based front-end frameworks.
• Experience designing data platforms, APIs, distributed systems, and scalable infrastructure.
• Understanding of data pipelines, analytics platforms, and productized data services.

Leadership

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution.
• Proven ability to build engineering culture and mentor technical leaders.
• Strong communicator capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
