Piccolo Morini is the latest concept from Altamarea Group — the award-winning hospitality group behind Marea, Ai Fiori, and 53 — bringing a fresh energy to SoHo with a menu rooted in handcrafted pasta and Italian small plates. A spiritual successor to the beloved Osteria Morini, Piccolo Morini captures everything guests have always craved about the Morini experience: convivial dining, soulful Italian cuisine, and a vibrant atmosphere.
We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our opening team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their craft, and is eager to be part of building something from the ground up. This is ideal for someone who has mastered the hot and/or cold stations, and looking to potentially be a sous chef one day.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a designated station during prep and service
- Execute dishes with consistency, precision, and attention to detail
- Prepare mise en place, sauces, and components to support service
- Uphold cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth service
- Support and guide junior team members as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen
- Strong understanding of kitchen fundamentals and cooking techniques
- Experience with Italian cuisine or pasta production is a plus
- Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
