Job Description
LOCATION Chartered Accountant - Real Estate JOB SUMMARY The role should focus on financial accounting, taxation, project accounting, MIS reporting, budgeting, compliance, audit support, cost control, cash flow management, and financial analysis of real estate projects. This is aligned with the responsibilities mentioned in the attached JD, including financial accounting, taxation, audit support, financial reporting, cost management, regulatory compliance, and real estate financial modeling. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain accurate books of accounts for multiple real estate projects.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, and General Ledger. Ensure timely closure of books and preparation of MIS reports for management.
Monitor project-wise profitability and financial performance. Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances. Ensure timely filing of returns and compliance with applicable regulations.
Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors. Identify opportunities for tax planning and optimization. Manage project-wise accounting and cost allocation.
Track construction costs, land acquisition expenses, contractor payments, and project budgets. Monitor project cash flows and fund utilization. Prepare project feasibility reports and profitability analysis.
Coordinate statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents. Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Prepare annual budgets and project-wise financial forecasts. Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor working capital and liquidity requirements. Support management in strategic financial decision-making. Ensure compliance with RERA, Companies Act, GST Act, Income Tax Act, and other applicable laws.
Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and government authorities. Maintain documentation for project approvals and financial transactions. Work extensively on ERP systems for accounting, budgeting, and project cost tracking.
Automate reporting and improve financial processes. Ensure data accuracy and system compliance. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). 3+ years of post-qualification experience in Real Estate, Construction, or Infrastructure sectors.
Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances. Experience in project accounting and project cost management. Proficiency in ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, ERPNext, or similar platforms.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, and financial modeling. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Understanding of RERA compliance and real estate accounting practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. PREFERRED SKILLS Experience in residential, commercial, or luxury real estate projects.
Exposure to project feasibility studies and investment analysis. Knowledge of fund management and project financing. Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Expertise in MIS reporting and dashboard preparation. Knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques. Familiarity with ERP implementation and process automation.
