Buyer - Fareham, HampshireSalary up to £45,000 + Excellent BenefitsWe are recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join one of our key clients in Fareham. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a well-established and highly respected organisation, joining a collaborative on-site procurement team of four.This role is ideal for a commercially minded Buyer with a strong engineering or manufacturing background, looking to play a key role in developing a high-performing supply chain.Key Responsibilities:End-to-end purchasing of raw materials, mechanical components, and subcontract servicesSourcing and onboarding new suppliers, including performance evaluationNegotiating pricing and contracts to meet cost and budget targetsManaging supplier performance across quality, cost, and delivery metricsRaising and managing purchase and subcontract work ordersCollaborating with internal teams to support production and new product developmentBuilding and maintaining strong, long-term supplier relationshipsAbout You:Proven experience as a Buyer within manufacturing or engineeringStrong negotiation and supplier management skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsKnowledge of materials, machining, and surface treatments (metals preferred)Experience with ERP/MRP systemsCIPS/APICS qualification (or working towards) desirableAerospace sector experience advantageousHighly organised, detail-oriented, and solutions-focusedWhat's on Offer:Salary up to £45,00025 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pension schemeLife coverEmployee assistance programmeIf you are an ambitious Buyer looking to join a forward-thinking business where you can make a real impact, I would be keen to speak with you.INDAB
