Business System Analyst (Greenwich)

Responsibilities

• Partner with trading, operations, risk, finance, compliance, and engineering teams to analyze and document derivatives business and system requirements, translating complex front-to-back workflows into user stories, process maps, interface specifications, and functional designs.
• Support and enhance derivatives trading and post-trade ecosystems by managing workflows across trade capture, confirmations, valuation, collateral, settlements, reconciliations, reporting, APIs, market data feeds, and enterprise system integrations.
• Drive delivery coordination and technical product support by assisting with roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, release management, testing (SIT/UAT), impact analysis, defect resolution, and implementation of scalable technology solutions for derivatives operations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within fintech or financial services, with strong expertise in derivatives products including swaps, futures, options, forwards, or structured products and deep understanding of the derivatives trade lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience documenting functional requirements, data mappings, workflow diagrams, source-to-target transformations, and integration logic, combined with strong technical skills in SQL, relational databases, APIs, batch processing, and enterprise application integrations.
• Familiarity with trading, risk, collateral, or post-trade platforms along with knowledge of financial messaging standards such as FIX Protocol, FpML, SWIFT, XML, and JSON; experience with Agile/SDLC delivery models, cloud platforms, reconciliation controls, and product backlog or roadmap management preferred.
