Established in 2020,MUFGGlobal Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary ofMUFGhaving offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. toMUFGBank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicingMUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
Position: AVP Customer Data Management
Purpose of the Role: This individual will be responsible for managing and supervising the Customer Data Management team of KYC for Financial Institution Customers. Experience:
- 8-10 years of post-qualification relevant work experience within the Banking and Financial Services industry.
- 5 years of experience in data management.
- Functional Knowledge in Banking Financial Institutions
- Global project and change management experience in Banking or Risk or Compliance domain are preferred.
- Education:Bachelor's degree or above Background.
- MUFG is implementing the One Client One Request(1C1R) and OneKYC solutions initiatives that provide a framework to coordinate KYC efforts for Financial Institution (FI) clients globally for all MUFG branches. At the heart of the framework is a Global Inventory of all FI clients that are created by consolidating Local FI inventories in all countries
Global Client Data Management team is set up with the main function to support and coordinate the 1C1R process globally with country and regional KYC/Onboarding team. The team will also support other global KYC initiatives under Global KYC Strategy Office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall process; ensure tasks are on schedule.
- Own Business as Usual (BAU) and ad hoc tasks assigned to the team to ensure timely and quality delivery
- Provide guidance, training, review, and support analysts to complete tasks.
- Own communication with stakeholders to follow up on actions, provide updates as required.
- Collaborate with GKYCO and other stakeholders from the APAC region in Design, implement, and maintain a standardized Management Information (MI) framework. This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in MI reporting and analytics to support strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Liaising with third parties (consultants and tech vendors) for multiple projects such as Data sharing platforms, Data management tool and performing TPRM reviews for third parties.
- Manage management reporting on activities related to client static data, as required by GKYCO or other stakeholders. Manage Global FI Inventory with collecting/consolidating data from various sources including local FI Inventories.
- Liaising with various departments and internal stakeholders to create collaborative work relationships understand their data requirements, propose solutions, advocate the team values, obtain their support when required, etc.
- Manage projects and initiatives to enhance Management Information (MI) processes.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
- Handling escalations without delay and providing resolution of issues.
- Supervise Payment operation for the outsourcing expenses (check the details of the documents and remittance to the vendors in line with the invoices. Calculate the share of each office and send the invoice and follow the remittance from them.
- Support on the ad-hoc projects.

- Planning, Product partners o SLoD Business partners such as GFCD, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit, HR, Operations, Technology etc.
External:
- Vendors Mandatory Skills:
- Good understanding of Client/Static Data Reference and system data automation are preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing, developing, and improving workflow tools and processes in data acquisition, processing, and publishing of data.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing strong credibility to build influential relationships with stakeholders to identify gaps and improvements within our data management process.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate with people of all levels and cross borders.
