Avionics Engineer, Senior
Join an integrated team of engineers supporting the technical advancement and modernization of airborne systems. As a senior avionics engineer, you will analyze, assess, and help optimize avionics architectures, subsystem performance, sensor integration, and mission–support electronics. You will apply engineering judgment, structured analysis, and disciplined systems engineering practices to generate data‑driven insights that inform decision‑makers.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical assessments, conduct trades, contribute to integration reviews, and support the verification of avionics subsystem behavior across mission scenarios.
- Apply engineering judgment and disciplined systems engineering practices to inform decision‑makers.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with avionics engineering, including subsystem design, analysis, or integration support.
- Experience with modeling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python‑based analysis, or avionics assessment tools.
- Knowledge of avionics system architectures, including communications, navigation, mission computers, sensors, or flight control integration.
- Ability to produce technically clear, compliant engineering documentation.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
Nice to Have
- Experience with digital engineering practices, MBSE tools, or avionics integration test environments.
- Experience supporting DoD airborne programs.
- Knowledge of system safety, EMI or EMC considerations, or airworthiness engineering processes.
- Strong written, analytic, and presentation skills.
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.

Salary determined by factors including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range is $86,900 to $198,000 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
