Audit Assistant Manager

Job Opportunity: Assistant Manager - External Auditor (those due to qualify in 2026 considered) Sector: Audit & Assurance Salary: £50,000-£60,000 dependent on experience (part-qualified salary to be discussed) TPF Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading and well-established accountancy practice that is looking to recruit an External Auditor to join its growing audit team. The team works with a broad and interesting client base, offering excellent exposure, support and long-term career progression.The Role As an External Auditor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a varied portfolio of clients, working closely with managers and partners in a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities will include:Assisting with and leading statutory audits from planning through to completionPreparing audit files in line with professional and regulatory standardsPerforming audit testing, risk assessments and control evaluationsDrafting audit reports, management letters and clear audit documentationLiaising directly with clients in a professional and confident mannerSupporting junior team members during fieldwork and on-site auditsEnsuring deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of workContributing to continuous improvement within the audit team and processesRequirementsThe Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is likely to have:Experience working in external audit within a UK accountancy practiceACA or ACCA qualification, or currently studying towards oneStrong technical knowledge of UK auditing standardsConfidence communicating with clients and internal stakeholdersA collaborative, approachable and professional working styleStrong attention to detail and a proactive mindsetA genuine interest in developing within audit and progressing your careerBenefitsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experience.
