Job Overview
Directs financial planning and accounting practices including budgeting, costing, financial analysis, and long‑range forecasting for a mid‑sized market or regional function(s). Partners with the business, providing subject matter expertise and direction for the business/function on financial and accounting issues.
Essential Functions
- Understands business partner/client markets and translates strategy into proactive plans to enable successful achievement of business results.
- Ensures that the recording, measurement and reporting of all financial transactions adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal IQVIA corporate policies and procedures, government regulations and local business requirements.
- Develops specific business metrics that support timely and actionable information flow for daily operational and long‑term strategic planning purposes.
- Supports, and leads as appropriate, high‑profile negotiations that arise during service delivery from a financial nature.
- Develops and maintains strong collaborative relationships with the Business Development team and Senior Functional Leadership/ Therapeutic Area Heads.
- May develop pricing strategies, policies, and analysis.
- Provides monthly financial reporting to constituencies.
- Assists in developing commercial offerings, including payment terms, schedules, Bonus/Penalty, and other client requests.
- Ensures achievement of business financial targets by monitoring spending, providing insight, and early warning.
- Identifies and monitors areas of risk and/or opportunity and their financial impact on the business.
- Ensures the provision of timely and value‑add risk assessments to the business for new and existing clients. Offers commercial recommendations and solutions to senior management.
- Partners externally with client Finance and Outsourcing counterparts, and internally with Pricing, Operations, Finance and Contracts.
- Negotiates, reviews and provides financial accrual reporting, as requested, by the client.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Financial Management preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one department or multiple related departments.
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, accounting and finance.
- Knowledge of financial systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong leadership and focus.
- Proven record of results working with senior management.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to translate business issues into financial requirements.
- Technical proficiency with financial application software is essential.
- High level of integrity and self‑confidence.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $80,400.00 - $223,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job‑related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part‑time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
