Associate Director Finance

About the RoleWe are looking for an Associate Director - Finance (Consolidation & Controls) to strengthen the finance function and drive group-level financial reporting and controls.This role will work closely with the Finance Controller and leadership team to manage financial consolidation across multiple subsidiaries, ensure strong financial hygiene, and maintain robust processes and controls across the organization.A key aspect of this role will be to lead the execution of the ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) program, working closely with internal teams to implement, monitor, and strengthen controls across functions.The ideal candidate will bring a mix of Big 4 and startup experience, with strong ownership over consolidation, reconciliations, and finance operations in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Do

Financial Consolidation & ReportingOwn and drive group-level consolidation across multiple subsidiariesManage intercompany eliminations, adjustments, and policy alignmentLead and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesEnsure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting

ICFR & Controls ExecutionDrive the ICFR program at an execution level across finance and key business functionsWork with cross-functional teams to implement and operationalize internal controlsEnsure controls are embedded within day-to-day processes across departmentsMonitor control effectiveness and drive timely remediation of gaps and deficiencies

Payables & ReconciliationsOverview the accounts payable function, ensuring seamless vendor payments and strong disbursement controlsOversee critical and high-volume reconciliations (including complex environments such as crypto)Ensure timely closure of recon breaks and maintain high data integritySupport MIS reporting, variance analysis, and management insights

System & Process standardizationWork extensively on ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite preferred)Drive process standardization, automation, and scalabilityImprove efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance reporting accuracy

Team & Stakeholder ManagementManage and mentor the finance team, driving accountability and performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operationsPartner with leadership to support data-driven decision making

You'll Excel in This Role If You

ExperienceChartered Accountant with 6 to 8 years of relevant finance experience with a mix of Big 4 and startup/high-growth environments preferredStrong hands-on experience in financial consolidation across multiple entitiesProven ability to independently drive consolidation processes at a group levelExperience in managing close cycles, reconciliations, and auditsExperience working with cross-functional teams to embed controls within day-to-day operations & Strong exposure to control testing and remediation of deficiencies

Skills & MindsetStrong accounting fundamentals and high attention to detailAbility to operate hands-on while managing complexity and scaleStrong problem-solving, ownership, and execution mindsetExcellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

Success in This RoleWithin 6-12 months, the candidate will be expected to:Drive and operationalize the ICFR framework across functions, ensuring effective control implementation, monitoring, and timely remediation of gapsIndependently drive group-level consolidation across subsidiariesStrengthen SOP adherence, internal controls, and close processesEnsure robust closure of critical reconciliations and support smooth audits
