Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with experience in handling Financial Services matters to join its office in Seal Beach, California. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience, maintain positive client relationships, and work effectively within a team. Duties Provide initial analysis and develop case strategy.
Prepare and respond to discovery. Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings. Explain legal options to clients and highlight potential outcomes or threats.
Build and maintain client relationships. Negotiate, research, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Requirements Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing. Strong critical thinking skills and solid academic background. Proactive, knowledgeable, and attentive.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills. Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting billable hours. Detail-oriented, organized, and effective.
Professional demeanor and ability to communicate well with staff. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus. Education Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications Licensed to practice law in California. Skills Critical thinking and problem-solving. Effective communication and negotiation.
