HIRING for ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - SCHOOL OF COMPUTER SCIENCES DOMAIN - CYBER SECURITY Responsible for teaching, research, and service in their designated field of expertise within the academic department. The role requires a strong commitment to student success, scholarly activity, and service to the department and university. Key Responsibilities for Teaching: • Delivering high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials. • Developing course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments. • Providing academic support and guidance to students. • Evaluating student performance fairly and providing constructive feedback. • Keeping up to date with developments in the field and integrating them into teaching. • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of expertise. • Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment that facilitates student learning. • Evaluate and grade student work, provide feedback, and maintain accurate and timely records of student progress. • Participate in course and curriculum development, including updating and revising course materials and assessments.
Research: • Conduct original research in their field of expertise and publish scholarly articles, books, and/or other creative works. • Seek external funding to support research projects. • Collaborate with colleagues within and outside the department to promote research activities. • Mentor and advise graduate students on research projects. Service: • Participate in service activities within the department, college, and university. • Participate in departmental and university committees. • Engage in professional development activities and stay current in their field of expertise. • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to promote the university and department. Qualifications: • PhD degree in the relevant field • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels. • A record of scholarly research and publication in the relevant field. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within and outside the department. pls email at msolanki@ddn.upes.ac. in
