Working Days: Monday - Saturday (In-Office)
Report to: Zonal HR Head
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager HR (Regional HRBP) is responsible for managing the end-to-end HR lifecycle for both white-collar and blue-collar employees across the West Bengal and North East regions. You will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals to drive performance, manage a large blue-collar workforce, and foster an engaged work culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Act as the primary HRBP for all regional staff (White-Collar & Blue-Collar), aligning HR strategies with business goals.
- Participate in operational meetings, budgeting, and performance-driving initiatives.
- Support business leaders with data-driven insights and organizational change management.
2. Focused Recruitment & Planning
- Blue-Collar Recruitment: Lead the full-cycle hiring process for regional workforce needs, ensuring timely and effective staffing solutions.
- Workforce Planning: Assess regional talent needs and identify skill gaps to support business growth.
3. Performance & Talent Management
- Implement the Performance Management System (PMS) for the region, including appraisals and development plans.
- Identify regional training needs and facilitate professional development programs.
- Manage succession planning and retention strategies for high-potential employees.
4. Employee & Labor Relations
- Resolve grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues for both office and field/warehouse staff.
- Manage labor union relationships and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and a culture of inclusion.
5. Statutory Compliance & Payroll
- Ensure strict adherence to local labor laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee regional payroll compliance, maintaining accurate records for audits (tax, time sheets, etc.).
- Manage the regional HR budget, including training and staffing expenses.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Any Undergraduate (UG) degree + MBA in Human Resources or a related field.
- Mobility: Strong willingness to travel to various branches and warehouses across the region as required.
- Experience: Proven experience in a regional HR role managing diverse employee groups.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of labor laws and industrial relations in West Bengal and the North East.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to navigate both corporate and warehouse environments.
