Location: Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough, Cleveland, TS3 8RE, United Kingdom Job Title: Art and Design Teacher Contract: Maternity Cover, Full Time Salary: M1-6/ UPR + well-being cash plan + pension scheme + additional Lift Schools benefits Start Date: September 2026 Closing Date: 25 June 2026 12:00 noon About the Role The successful candidate will be an exceptional teacher who delivers engaging, high-quality Art and Design lessons across all Key Stages. You will support a broad extracurricular programme and contribute to whole‑school initiatives that promote wellbeing and achievement. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality Art and Design lessons that motivate and challenge all learners.

Assess, monitor, and support student progress. Promote positive behaviour, personal development and inclusive participation in lessons. Support the wider vision and values of Lift Unity City.

Qualifications and Experience Holds a degree in a relevant creative arts-based subject. Has experience working with young people within a school environment. Demonstrates excellent behaviour management skills.

Is passionate about student development and wellbeing. Works effectively as part of a team and contributes to school life. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
