Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Aircraft Mechanic II serves as a senior-level aviation maintenance professional responsible for independent troubleshooting, complex repairs, system-level diagnostics, and quality oversight. This role supports safe flight operations through advanced technical expertise and disciplined maintenance leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced aircraft system diagnostics and fault isolationExecute complex structural and mechanical repairsLead troubleshooting efforts across multiple aircraft systemsConduct functional checks and return-to-service verificationsReview and validate maintenance documentation for completeness and accuracyProvide mentorship and on-the-job training to junior mechanicsEnsure compliance with technical directives and maintenance policiesSupport Quality Assurance and safety investigations when requiredInterface with government maintenance leadership and program stakeholdersQualificationsFAA A&P Certificate required (or documented military equivalent)5+ years aviation maintenance experienceDemonstrated troubleshooting and systems-level expertiseExperience in high-tempo operational aviation environmentsPreferred experience working on USCG aircraftStrong documentation and compliance disciplineAbility to obtain/maintain required security clearanceWhy VLincAt VLinc, our senior aviation professionals are the backbone of mission success.
