AI Automation Engineer

Automation Builders is hiring: AI Automation Engineer (Remote, India preferred)

We're a Melbourne-based consultancy building AI agents and production

automation systems for businesses drowning in manual work.

We need our first full-time engineer. This is a build-focused role —

you will work behind the scenes with the founding team, not in client calls.

We handle client relationships. You handle the build.

Our stack is hybrid: we build with n8n (JSON workflows)

for complex agents), integrate LLMs via OpenAI/Claude/LangChain,

and drop into custom TypeScript when the no-code tools hit their limit.

You should apply if you:

✓ Have shipped real automations in n8n, Make, or Zapier

  (tutorials and side projects don't count — we want production stories)

✓ Can write TypeScript and Node.js when needed

✓ Have built at least one project using an LLM API (OpenAI, Claude, LangChain)

✓ Are resourceful — you figure things out when docs are incomplete or wrong

✓ Write clear, professional English for async team communication

Bonus points for:

→ Experience with AI agents, MCP, or tool-calling patterns

→ Familiarity with workflow-as-code (Inngest, Trigger.dev)

→ Self-hosted n8n experience (Docker, GCP, etc.)
