Base Rate
Base rate: $67-$71 per hour DOE (20-40 hours per week) with a $10,000 sign‑on bonus. Placement within the range may vary based on qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, and market data.
About the Position
The Village for Families & Children seeks a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join a team of dedicated professionals providing cutting‑edge behavioral health services, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid addiction. The organization will cover costs associated with APRN MAT certification if the individual wishes to participate. Programs target individuals and families affected by substance use, trauma, and other issues, utilizing best practice models such as feedback‑informed, solution‑focused, relapse prevention, harm reduction, and mobile outreach.
This role may involve exposure to outpatient, short or sub‑acute residential, urgent crisis centers, and extended day treatment settings.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric assessment, evaluation, psychopharmacological follow‑up, and monitoring of treatment in collaboration with The Village licensed supervising physician.
- Provide back‑up to psychiatric consultants and clinical staff as needed, including emergency situations.
- Provide consultation and training to clinical staff as needed.
- Participate as a member of interdisciplinary teams.
- Complete documentation as required by agency practices and licensing requirements.
- Participate in community outreach for substance use treatment with a multidisciplinary team.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Administrative / Leadership Responsibilities
- Participate in continuous improvement and monitoring of implementation of psychiatric policies and procedures.
- Participate in the ongoing development of standards for clinical practice at The Village.
Qualifications
Education / Experience- Master of Science in Nursing, Board‑eligible or Board‑certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience working with individuals, groups, and families, including experience with child and adolescent populations.
- Extensive experience working with culturally diverse populations across a wide age range and a variety of clinical presentations.
- Strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills; proficiency with word processing and general computer skills.
- Good organizational, communication, and supervisory skills; flexible and able to multi‑task; able to function autonomously yet seek consultation when needed.
- Bilingual/bicultural skills strongly preferred.
- Physically able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- CT licensure as an APRN with prescriptive privileges.
