About The Role

As an Accounting Manager reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will accurately perform accounting functions for various early‑stage and high-growth startups across multiple industries. You will serve as a liaison between a portfolio of clients and outside agencies, partnering closely with the Fondo Accounting and Operations teams in a remote, dynamic, fast‑paced entrepreneurial environment to meet client deliverables. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for multiple clients.
• Record and manage payroll, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and related transactions.
• Perform ad‑hoc analysis and projects as requested.
• Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Stay updated on bookkeeping, tax filing, HR standards, and regulations.
• Identify process improvements for resource efficiency and accuracy.
• Track billable hours across clients.
• Manage and update project tracking in our proprietary app.
• Maintain filing system in cloud‑based software.
• Monitor client Slack channels and Front support tickets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Preferred but not required CPA license.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting theory, principles, and practices.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing financials for multiple clients.
• Strong written communication skills for documenting accounting processes.
• Adaptable, strategic, and capable of managing ambiguity and multiple deadlines.
• Proficient in data analysis and presenting financial information.
• Experience with SaaS, tech, start‑up, high‑growth, or PE‑backed companies preferred.
• Big 4 experience preferred.

• Competitive salary: $100,000 - $120,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
