Accountant – Richfield, OH (Onsite) Empaco Equipment Corporation is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage multi-state tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and financial accounting activities. This role is responsible for sales and use tax filings, Ohio CAT reporting, audit support, GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and internal controls. The Accountant will work closely with operations and leadership, support ERP system initiatives, and help improve accounting processes within a growing, family-owned organization.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. 5+ years of general ledger and accounting experience, preferably in construction, real estate, or related industries, including multi-state tax compliance and financial reporting. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Strong knowledge of sales/use tax and state compliance requirements.

Experience with CAT filings, BWC audits, and insurance audits preferred. Experience supporting software system transitions or ERP implementations. Demonstrated experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics SL, QuickBooks, ADP).

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to work onsite five days per week. Perform other duties as assigned.
